About

Originally from Colchester, Essex in England l now live in Ottawa, Canada. My love affair with photography started some 11 years ago when I received a Nikon D60 as a Christmas gift and so the journey began. This was the early days of digital and the cameras of today have become incredible photographic tools packed with all manner of technology. But of course it is still just a camera and learning to make a photograph is so much more than just pressing the shutter. There are so many elements to a good photograph, composition, exposure and that all important Light. Light is what we landscape photographers can spend hours waiting for, that smallest of moments when the sun shines through and reveals your subject and brings the shot to life.

Without doubt the best part of landscape photography is just being out in nature, walking the trails, hills and when l’m really lucky the mountains. lf the light eludes me then the exercise and fresh air is enough.
